CHURCHWIDE
Promotion Sunday
Preschoolers, children, and students will be promoted to their new grade or age based Sunday School/Life Group classes.
Life Group Time Change
The official meeting time for Life Groups will be changing from 9:00AM to 9:15AM. Additionally, the drop off time for preschoolers and kids will be moved from 8:45AM to 9:00AM.
Discipleship Kick-Off
Our Sunday afternoon discipleship ministries are kicking off for the new school year. This includes iWorship Preschool (3s-5s), iWorship Kids (1st-6th grades), and Surrender Students (7th-12th grades). For adults, this night will serve as our Discipleship Showcase, featuring previews of every upcoming class: Lies Women Believe (Sun – Ladies), The Book of James (Wed – Ladies), and A Tale of Three Kings (Sun – Co-ed). Additional classes are being finalized and will be announced soon.
Month of Worship
Join us every Sunday evening in August at 6PM for special nights of worship. | Aug. 2 – Crescent City Worship, Aug. 9 – The Blackwell Family, Aug. 16 – Night of Worship hosted by the FBTC choir & orchestra, Aug. 23 – Karen Peck & New River, Aug 30 – Fifth Sunday Sing.
Faith Family Celebration
Join us in the FLC as we celebrate ministry highlights from the last quarter and hold our quarterly business meeting. This event will be held at 6PM on September 6th. Pizza will be served.

Missionary Wish List
Bless our Southeast Asia missionaries partners by sponsoring wish list items to be delivered by our mission team. Some of these items are unavailable in the area where our missionary partners serve, so our team will be blessing them in a big way.
Men's Retreat
Men are invited to a two-night retreat that will build camaraderie, renew your spiritual walk, and strengthen you as you lead your family. This retreat is located at Shocco Springs, Talladega.
Women's Retreat
Ladies, come be refreshed, encouraged, and rooted in God’s love. Enjoy this two night retreat at Camp Baldwin as we worship together, build relationships, and abide in Him.
Do you love to get things done? Join us as we beautify our campus! Projects include yard work, cleaning playground equipment, indoor painting, and pressure washing (please bring a pressure washer if you have one). If you are willing to help, plan to join anytime between 8AM and 12PM on Saturday, August 8th.
Equipped Church Workshop
The Equipped Church Workshop is hosted by the Mobile Baptist Network and offers a wide range of classes to assist church leaders and volunteers with the tools necessary for effective ministry. Sessions include topics like security, leading small groups, disiciple making, children & preschool ministry, youth ministry, senior adult ministry, and more. This event will be hosted at Highpoint Baptist Church (2421 Lott Road, Eight Mile) from 8:30AM to 12:30Pm on August 15th. Price at the door is $10 per person.
MTI Classes at FBTC
The Ministry Training Institute offers diploma courses that are designed to provide structured biblical education and practical ministry training. This class is hosted at FBTC in the First Place and costs $50.
Fost Care Interest Meeting
Is God calling you to foster children? The need for foster families in Southwest Alabama is tremendous. This no-commitment interest meeting is hosted by the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
