FAMILY MINISTRIES
Preschool
At First Baptist Tillmans Corner, our preschoolers from birth through Kindergarten experience safe, age‑appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in creative and meaningful ways. We strive to create a fun, playful, and Christ‑centered atmosphere every time your family walks through our doors.
Kids
At First Baptist Tillmans Corner, kids in 1st–6th grade enjoy safe, fun, and age‑appropriate environments designed to help them learn about Jesus in meaningful and engaging ways. We want every child to worship, grow, trust, and serve with Jesus at the heart of everything.
Students
In a season filled with change, challenges, and growth, FBTC Student Ministry exists to help students take steady steps toward Christ. We believe discipleship happens best in partnership, so we come alongside parents as they invest in their students during these formative years.
Parent Child Dedication
Parent-child dedication is a time of public prayer with the entire church family for God’s blessing upon your little one’s life and for their upbringing.
OTHER MINISTRIES
Adult Discipleship Classes
Every Sunday evening at 5PM, our adults meet for discipleship classes. We offer several class topics. Join us to find a class that’s right for you. On the first Sunday of each month, men and women meet separately for large group discipleship.Â
Amazing Greys Ministry
The Amazing Greys are our energetic 55+ choir that meets each week to worship and sing. Every April, this ministry travels to New Orleans to sing and minister. If you are young at heart, join us every Tuesday at 11AM in our choir room.Â
Toronto Mission Trip

FBTC Campus Workday
Saturday, August 8 from 8:00AM-12:00PM
Do you love to get things done? Join us as we beautify our campus! Projects include yard work, cleaning playground equipment, indoor painting, and pressure washing (please bring a pressure washer if you have one). If you are willing to help, plan to join anytime between 8AM and 12PM.

Join us for a night of worship to kick off the school year. This night will be led by our choir and orchestra and include times of prayer and musical worship.

Equipped Church Workshop
Saturday, August 15 | 8:30AM-12:30PM
The Equipped Church Workshop is hosted by the Mobile Baptist Network and offers a wide range of classes to assist church leaders and volunteers with the tools necessary for effective ministry. Sessions include topics like security, leading small groups, disiciple making, children & preschool ministry, youth ministry, senior adult ministry, and more. This event will be hosted at Highpoint Baptist Church (2421 Lott Road, Eight Mile) and the price is $10 per person.

Discipleship Ministries Kick Off

Our discipleship ministries for the 2026-2027 church year kick off on this night. This includes iWorship Preschool (3s-5s), iWorship Kids (1st-6th Grade), Surrender Students (7th-12th Grade), and Adult Discipleship Classes.

MTI Class: Acts of the Apostles

The Ministry Training Institute offers diploma courses that are designed to provide structured biblical education and practical ministry training. This class is hosted at FBTC in the First Place and costs $50. Learn more at the link below.Â

The Amazing Greys 55+ Choir will kick off for the 2026-2027 church year on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00AM in the FLC. All young at heart welcome!

Men, you are invited to a two-night retreat that will build camaraderie, renew your spiritual walk, and strengthen you as you lead your family. This retreat is located at Shocco Springs and is $200.

Join us in the FLC as we celebrate ministry highlights from the last quarter and hold our quarterly business meeting. After discipleship at 5PM, we will meet in the FLC at 6PM for food and fellowship.
