God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:10

The Refuge is a weekly group offering biblical fellowship and support for individuals and families who are struggling with the losses we experience in life. This group welcomes anyone dealing with the stress or loss associated with addictions, harmful habits, grief, death of a loved one, divorce, caregiving, miscarriage, infertility, anxiety, depression, long-term illness or injury, job loss, financial loss, abandonment, estranged relationships with adult children, an empty nest, or any other loss experienced in life.

The Refuge FAQ

What if my friend/loved one is the one struggling, not me?
The Refuge welcomes those with on going struggles as well as family members and other interested persons looking for support or to serve in the recovery journey of those who are struggling.

Does The Refuge provide medical assistance for addictions?
No. This ministry does not provide medical assistance for addictions. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and in need of medical assistance, we can help point you to services that may be able to help. The Refuge is focused on aiding hurts through prayer, encouragement, accountability, biblical teaching, and practical steps.

Do you offer childcare?
The Refuge meets on Wednesday evenings and your children are free to attend our midweek activities at FBTC. This includes our preschool childcare for newborns – 2 years old, AWANA ministry for children 3 years-old to 6th grade, and our Student Ministry for 7th grade – 12th grade.
