The purpose of the Fresh Fire Ministry is to minister to couples and families through love, fellowship and discipleship.
Some of the needs we hope to meet
We were all created to worship the Lord. Within the spirit of every believer there is a desire to know and love Him more.
We believe that God is calling us to help people understand what that desire is, recognize it in their lives, and experience the fulfillment of it through a closer relationship with their Creator.
People will not consciously desire, nor be able to fully experience, that which they do not understand. However, once they have been ushered into the presence and power of the Lord, their spirit will never be content with where they used to be. In order to experience the constant presence and all encompassing power of God, you must prepare to meet with Him.
You cannot just come into church on Sunday morning, find you favorite spot on the pew and expect to meet God without having first prepared yourself for the encounter. Worship must be a personal, ongoing, daily experience. It must encompass every aspect of your life. No one else can do it for you—not your teacher, preacher, parents or anyone else. You must be willing to do whatever is necessary to have a proper relationship with your Heavenly Father.
Guidelines
We believe that through ministering to other couples and families by giving them opportunities to fellowship and worship together, God will teach them great and wonderful things about Himself. Our prayer and desire is that people will not see us—only Jesus in us.
Our Biblical guide for this ministry is found in Philippians 4:8 (NIV) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. It is our desire that the Fresh Fire Ministry will help other couples and families keep their eyes on Jesus and as a result become more passionate for the Lord.

Adult Fellowship
Set up stage and sound system
Provide childcare
Have contemporary Christian music/praise and worship time (compiled on a CD)
Have everyone bring a dessert
Have music and prayer time
Have someone give a testimony or a devotional
Enter into a time of fellowship while sharing desserts.
Marriage Retreats
Marriage Seminar
Have dinner and a speaker talking about marriage.
Parenting Seminar
Have dinner and a speaker talking about parenting.
Game Night
Plan a night to get together and play cards and board games, eat snacks and meet new people.
Family Fun Day
Plan a family picnic at a park. Bring Frisbees, footballs and other games.
Our Motivation
The idea is to create unity and excitement in this age group and to encourage spiritual growth.
These are some of our ideas. We want your input—this ministry is about you. We will definitely be enlisting other young adults to serve in this ministry.
